We were tasked with creating an engaging piece of Thought Leadership that positioned Mastercard & Pay by Bank app as experts in the world of retail and payments.
It was to be a series of stories that tackled some of the pivotal changes in both retail and payments, shining a light on the ‘change makers’ who led the charge. Those who took on ‘that will never work’ and made it ‘how did we ever live without this?’
The piece was designed to sit on a bespoke microsite to support the Mastercard Pay by Bank app campaign, and contained three stories showing the growth of pioneering ideas to mainstream adoption across all retail sectors. This was created through a mixture of long-and short-form copy, with supporting animations. I created the animations to help bring to life the stories. They played as seamless looping GIFs so that they would continuously play as the viewer was reading.
The site’s takeaway is that early adoption of new technology and approaches is beneficial to both consumer and retailer, and that it can be an individual or whole company who leads the way.
